II Innovation Symposium for the Common Good and Sustainable Development

2022 May 18

With the aim of promoting reflection on the importance of being competitive, adopting a responsible business culture, in addition to fostering the formation of a critical mass that inspires students and the business sector to contribute to sustainable development, the II Innovation Symposium for the Common Good and Sustainable Development will be held from March 15 to 18, at Iberoamerican University of Mexico City.

To participate in this international meeting, which will take place in person and virtually through the IBERO social networks, you only have to register on the page: https://catedrabiencomun.ibero.mx

The second edition of the symposium, which is part of the Chair Building for the common good and sustainable development Nicolás Mariscal Torroella, has the particularity of "seeking to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals to which each one of us has put the affection and interest, because if we achieve it, we will have a world where we can live and coexist with a better quality of life”.

The chair, whose agreement was signed in August 2020, aims to bring the tools to future leaders who have the potential to transform Mexico, making it a more inclusive country.

Thus, through this chair, we seek to create bridges and dialogues between entrepreneurs and experts; between academia and the business world; between ideas and what is necessary to materialize them.

Innovation. As a need to search, improve and put ideas to work to achieve the construction of a better world.

Common benefit. Because it is necessary to modify the present to achieve greater justice, equity, integration and openness.

Sustainable development. To promote changes in all sectors and reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.

For this reason, the II Innovation Symposium for the Common Good and Sustainable Development seeks to find innovative solutions to current challenges, to generate a positive impact on private initiative and students, seeking that future generations have the capacity to meet their needs in a sustainable environment.

Topics such as "Global environment, challenges and opportunities for a sustainable future", "Sustainable macroeconomics", "Innovation and migration", "Gender equality at work", "Innovation in biodiesel", "Energy transition and the future of water”, “Vanguard in the use of water”, “Integral Ecology”, “Innovation driving the new capitalism”, “Innovation and sustainable development in SMEs”, “New business generation”, “Sustainable leadership”, “Itinerant museum: Sustainable Development Goals”, “Underwater life and its conservation”, “The need to contemplate specimens and their habitats” and “Innovation to combat climate change”, in addition to the hybrid workshops “Lego Serious Play”.
